Our agency was established on the foundation of 18 years of experience in delivering services and high-quality care to individuals in need. We derive immense satisfaction from assisting individuals within their homes, imparting essential skills, and offering support within the community. Additionally, we understand the significance of ensuring that your loved ones receive proper care and are afforded opportunities to achieve their life aspirations. Our objective is to foster a lifestyle that is safe, healthy, and well-balanced.
Currently, our agency provides a range of services, including life skills development, commonly referred to as companion services, respite care, personal supports, transportation, supported living coaching, and homemaker and companion services. In the future, we plan to introduce supported employment services.
Portia Green
I serve as the Chief Executive Officer and Owner of The Gateway to Comforting Hands, LLC. My lifelong commitment has been dedicated to assisting others, particularly those with developmental & intellectual disabilities and individuals facing chronic health challenges. My professional experience spans across diverse environments, including public health, juvenile corrections, mental health, adult corrections, and child and family services. My passion for this field intensified while delivering care to clients in group home settings and offering companionship services.
I hold an Associate of Arts degree in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology with a Minor in Psychology, and a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychology, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Additionally, I am a National Certified Counselor.
